Members who ride a F650GS (twin)

Hi! Lady biker from Cape Town, Northern Suburbs. New to this biking thing and love the dual sport. Enjoy going for group runs, taking the "road less travelled". Still a novice, but slowly getting some mileage in the saddle and am thoroughly enjoying myself

I was introduced to the wonderful world of motorised two wheels two years or so ago when I got the cutest little Vespa for commuting. Then one day hubby dearest came home with a 'baby 800' (the 650GS Twin) - also for commuting purposes, of course. As the saying goes, "what's mine is mine & what's yours is mine," so to cut a long story short - the garage now houses an 800GS, 650GS and a Vespa. Gavin and I love weekend rides, looking for the best way to connect good coffee shops/restaurants via gravel. So far we've discovered some amazing places and routes, not to mention the great friends we've made. See you out on the dirt somewhere!
Previous bike F650GS. Took delivery of the new F650GS in 2008. Enjoying the twin and looking forward to much more riding on the new bike.
I am new to BMW/Dual purpose Bikes but have been on Superbikes from the age of 14. As you can imagine, it is quite the contrast in riding styles. Currently alternating between living in Grabouw and the Strand. I own a ICT Company specialising in individual and SME Support. Although my time is limited and split between my lovely family (Wife and 5yo son, my business and riding, I do try and get out as often as possible on the bike.
I am a small-business owner and have been riding bikes for many years. I have recently converted to 'adventure bike' riding.
My husband and I live in the UK (he has an 1200 Adventure) and we are off on Sunday to tour Southern Africa for 4 months. In fact we just took our bikes to the airport today to be flown to Cape Town ahead of us. We saw on your Forum that some of you will be in Oudtshoorn the weekend after next. And just by coincidence this is when we are spending 2 days there as well. It would be great to meet for a beer or so, and get some tips for our trip as we are just starting off. Hope to see you there. Vera and Ernst
Hi Real Name: Carlos Marquez Just started biking as a means to beat traffic, and remembered how much fun it was. Now I'm wanting to get going on the dirt and away from the tarmac, but first got to get that license later
